Uno Hit at the San Diego 70th Liberation celebration

Uno Hit! The San Diego 2014 Liberation celebration at the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club.

The 70th Liberation Celebration at the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club (SDGC) today was a really enjoyable event and a very successful performance for Uno Hit.

Great job, Josh Borja, Guam Liberation organizer.  Many thanks also to SDGC for their support and use of the Club facilities.

Uno Hit gave a great performance and the audience really enjoyed it.  It was such a pleasure to see the new shining faces in the line up.  The kids and their parents were really excited.

It was also an exciting debut for our Uno Hit band and choir.  We are so fortunate to have the talent and dedication of these individuals.

Heidi and Joey Quenga and Kutturan dancers, Kailea, Savana, Jahney and Candace really went
the extra mile to be with us, and to bring in costumes and music in order to showcase the DC
performance and the talents of Jorell, Jonivan, Jenise, Justen and MaryAnne.  It added so much.
Our audience responded by buying t-shirts and making donations that will help us sustain our
program.  We are so grateful.
Some words of wisdom came from long time Che’lu board member,  Jojo tonight. She reminded
me that everything Che’lu has done has been out of passion and faith.

We’re not always the #1 experts, but we learn, we grow, and we help each other keep getting better – all for our common love for our culture.  It is a fitting philosophy for our educational efforts.

Thanks to the  Uno Hit committee and the Uno Hit parents for your passion, your faith and your dedication to everything we do.
